Educational
Qualifications (Summary)
- Principal: Requires a master’s degree and a B.Ed. or equivalent degree,
proficiency in Hindi and English medium teaching, and significant
experience (e.g., ten years teaching as PGT/TGT).
- PGT:
Requires a master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 50%
aggregate marks and a B.Ed. (A B.Ed. is not required for PGT Information
Technology).
- TGT:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject combination (50%
aggregate), a B.Ed., and a pass in the State Teacher Eligibility Test
(STET) or CTET Paper-II.
- Accountant: Must hold a graduation degree in commerce.
- JSA:
Must be 12th Passed.
- Lab Attendant: Must have passed 10th with a diploma in lab technique OR 12th with science.

EMRS Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection for EMRS posts is conducted
through the Eklavya Model
Residential Schools Staff Selection Examination (ESSE-2025).
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): This objective test is the first stage, covering
general awareness, subject knowledge, reasoning ability, and teaching aptitude.
2. Document Verification: Required for candidates who are shortlisted.
3. Interview/Skill Test (if applicable): Required for certain posts, such as the principal
role (personal interaction/interview).
4. Final Merit List: Prepared strictly based on performance in the CBT and
other applicable stages.
PGT and TGT Exam
Structure (CBT)
The PGT and TGT exams include 100 questions
for 100 marks, along with a mandatory Language Competency Test section (20
marks). The total duration is 2 hours.
