Eligibility Criteria—Are You Ready?
To apply for these positions, candidates must
meet specific educational qualifications and age limits as of 17th
September 2025:
Educational
Qualifications:
- Field Engineer (Electrical): Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. in Electrical or
related disciplines (e.g., Electrical, Electrical (Power), Electrical
& Electronics, Power Systems, Power Engineering (Electrical)) with at
least 55% marks. Minimum 1 year of experience in design,
engineering, construction, testing & commissioning of Rural
Electrification (RE), Substations (S/S), Transmission Lines (TL),
Sub-Transmission (ST), or Distribution Management System (DMS).
- Field Engineer (Civil): Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. in Civil with at
least 55% marks. Minimum 1 year of experience in
civil-related work in similar areas as mentioned for electrical field
engineers.
- Field Supervisor (Electrical): Full-time diploma in electrical or related
fields (e.g., electrical, electrical (power), electrical &
electronics, power systems, or power engineering (electrical)) with at least 55%
marks. Candidates with higher qualifications, such as B.E./B.Tech, Tech/M. Tech, etc., are not eligible. Minimum 1 year of
experience in construction, testing & commissioning, or electrical
works in RE, TL, ST, S/S, or DMS.
- Field Supervisor (Civil): Full-time diploma in civil engineering with at
least 55% marks. Higher qualifications like
B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech are not allowed. Minimum 1 year of
experience in construction, testing & commissioning, or civil works
related to RE, TL, ST, S/S, or DMS.
- Field Supervisor (Electronics &
Communication): Full-time
diploma in electronics & communication, electrical, IT, or related
fields (e.g., electronics, electronics & communication, electronics
& telecommunication, electronics & electrical communication, or telecommunication engineering) with minimum 55% marks.
Higher qualifications are not eligible. Minimum 1 year of
experience in design, engineering, construction, testing &
commissioning, or operation & maintenance of telecommunication
systems.
Note: For all posts, preference will be given to candidates
with experience in PSUs or listed companies in the power sector.
Age
Limit:
- The upper age limit is 29 years as of
17th September 2025.
- Age relaxation is admissible as per government
norms for reserved categories.

Common FTE Written Test.
Exam Pattern – Be Prepared!
The Common FTE Written Test-2025 will consist
of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Total Questions: 75.
- Sections:
- Technical Subject: 50 questions based on the BE/B.Tech/Diploma syllabus.
- General Aptitude: 25 questions.
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
- Duration: 1 hour.
