3. Eligibility Criteria: Qualification & Experience {#eligibility}

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification: A pass in SSLC and ITI-NTC in the relevant trade.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience or training in the respective trade is mandatory.
Special Note: Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act is counted as valid experience.
Crane Operator Requirement: Must have an ITI in Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, or Instrument Mechanic, plus experience in crane operation.

4. Age Limit & Relaxation {#age-limit}

The maximum age for applicants is 45 years as of 07 February 2026.

OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation.
SC/ST: 5 years relaxation.
PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules, up to 50 years.

5. Salary and Benefits {#salary}

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated pay ranging from ₹23,300 to ₹29,130 per month. This includes compensation for extra hours (up to ₹5,830). Higher pay may be possible for those with additional relevant experience in CSL or other shipyards.

6. Selection Process {#selection-process}

The selection is based on the following stages:

1. Certificate Verification: Initial screening of documents.

2. Practical Test: A test worth 100 marks to evaluate trade skills.

3. Rank List: Final selection is based on marks obtained in the practical test.

Minimum Passing Marks for Practical Test:

UR/EWS: 50%.
OBC: 45% (for reserved posts).
SC/ST/PwBD: 40%.
