3. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed the 10th Standard (Matriculation) or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Additionally, a National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the relevant trade issued by the NCVT is mandatory.

Age Limit (as on 01.03.2026):

Minimum Age: 15 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years
Age Relaxations: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years, and PwBD candidates get 10 years of relaxation.

4. Selection Process

The selection will be strictly based on a merit list.

The merit list is prepared by averaging the marks obtained in the 10th Standard and ITI (NCVT).
There is no written exam or interview.
In the event of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be given preference.

5. Application Fee & Payment

General / OBC: ₹100/- (Non-refundable).
SC / ST / PwBD / Women: Nil (Exempted).
Payment Mode: Fees must be paid via Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of the Principal Financial Advisor, Rail Wheel Factory.

6. Important Dates

Notification Date: 28th February 2026.
Offline Application Starts: 28th February 2026.
Last Date for Receipt of Application: 01st April 2026.
Display of Merit List: Approximately 45 days after the closing date.
Commencement of Training: Approximately 15 days after the merit list is displayed.
