- M.Sc. in Science, MCA,

- DOEACC B-level or associate membership of the Institute of Engineers/Graduate Institute of Electronics &
Telecommunication Engineers.
- Fields of Study: Physics, electronics, computer science, IT, software engineering, mathematics, statistics, GIS remote sensing, and
related disciplines.
- Post-Qualification Experience:
- Scientist-C: Minimum
of 4 years of experience.
- Scientist-D: Minimum
of 8 years of experience.

Relaxations
The age limit is calculated as per the
official notification:
- Scientist-D: Maximum
40 years.
- Scientist-C: Maximum
35 years.
- Relaxations: Standard Government of India rules apply for
SC/ST/OBC/PwBC/ex-servicemen categories.

Scale
NIC offers a highly competitive salary
structure based on the 7th CPC:
- Scientist-D: Pay Level-12 (₹78,800 - ₹209,200)
- Scientist-C: Pay Level-11 (₹67,700 - ₹208,700).
