Eligibility
Criteria Highlights
Candidates must fulfil specific criteria
related to nationality, education, age, and essential requirements to be
eligible for the 2025 exam.
Age Limit (as on 01/07/2025)
The candidate must be between 21 and 30 years old.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years maximum for SC/ST candidates and 3 years
maximum for OBC candidates.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed 10+2
(Senior Secondary) from any recognised school board. This requirement
is relaxable up to the 11th pass only for specific groups, including drivers of
Delhi Police and sons of serving, deceased, or retired Delhi Police
personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff.
Essential Requirements
Candidates must meet the following mandatory
essential requirements:
1. Valid driving licence for Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV).
2. Should be able to drive heavy vehicles with
confidence.
3. Possess knowledge of maintenance of vehicles
(e.g., tyre pressure, battery water level, oil grade, etc.).
Recruitment and
Examination Process
The recruitment process for the SSC Delhi
Police Constable (Driver) involves five stages:
1. Written Exam (Computer-Based Test or CBT)
2. Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) (Qualifying)
3. Driving Test/Trade Test (Qualifying)
4. Document Verification
5. Medical Examination
Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
Pattern
The CBE will consist of one objective-type
paper comprising 100 questions, each carrying 1 mark. The total time
allotted is 90 minutes.
- Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 0.25
marks for every wrong answer.
- Qualifying Marks: General Category candidates must secure 35%
marks, SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates must secure 30% marks, and ex-servicemen must secure
25% marks in aggregate to be eligible for shortlisting for the Physical
Test.
