1. Overview of CRPF Constable Recruitment 2026

The CRPF is looking for eligible male and female candidates who are residents of their respective states/UTs to fill various technical and tradesman roles.

3. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026)

Constable (Driver): 21 to 27 years.
Other Trades & Pioneer: 18 to 23 years.
Note: Age relaxation applies as per government rules for reserved categories.

Educational & Technical Qualifications

Driver: Matriculation (10th pass) plus a valid heavy transport vehicle driving licence.
Motor Mechanic Vehicle: 10th pass plus a 2-year ITI certificate in MMV or a 3-year apprenticeship.
Other Tradesmen: 10th pass and proficiency in the respective trade.
Pioneer (Mason/Electrician): 10th pass with one year of experience in the trade (ITI holders preferred).

4. Salary and Pay Scale

Successful candidates will be appointed to pay level 3.

Pay Scale: ₹21,700 - ₹69,100.
Additional allowances are applicable as per the central government rules for CRPF personnel.

5. Selection Process

The selection process is multi-staged and rigorous to ensure the best candidates are chosen:

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying race (timings vary by trade and gender).

2. Physical Standards Test (PST): Measurement of height, chest (for males), and weight.

3. Computer-Based Test (CBT): 100 MCQs covering reasoning, GK, maths, and English/Hindi. There is a 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers.

4. Trade/Skill Test: Qualifying test (50 marks, minimum 20 required to pass).

5. Document Verification (DV): Verification of original certificates.

6. Medical Examination: Detailed Medical (DME) and Review Medical (RME) examinations.

Final Merit: The final selection list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the CBT.
